Two passengers hurt in a helicopter crash on July 4 at Myrtle Beach tour company
Three people were injured earlier this month during a takeoff of a helicopter at a Myrtle Beach tour company.
The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. July 4 and those on board, which included the pilot and two passengers, received minor injuries, according to a National Transportation Safety Board report.
According to Federal Aviation Administration records, the helicopter is registered to Helicopter Adventures, located at 1860 21st Ave. N.
A call to the tour company on Friday was diverted to the owner, who did not return a message.
Capt. Jon Evans with the Myrtle Beach Fire Department said Friday that the department had no report of the accident and fire crews did not respond.
It appears the helicopter crashed during takeoff and landed on its side. The NTSB report said that the Robinson Helicopter received substantial damage.
