New Italian ice and custard shop opens in North Myrtle Beach. Here’s where you can get it
North Myrtle Beach joined one of 559 locations of Rita’s with a June 2 opening of the chain establishment.

Rita’s is known for its Italian ice and frozen custard. It has locations in 31 states with a concentration on the Mid-Atlantic region.
According to the national Rita’s website, the “fan favorite” on the menu is a specialty item called Gelati, which blends the company’s two products into one with layers of Italian ice and custard. Other specialty items include the Blendini — which is like the Gelati but blended with other toppings — and the Misto, a Blendini without the toppings.
Rita’s in North Myrtle Beach is open noon to 10 p.m. every day, and is located in Gator Hole Plaza on Highway 17 North.
