Puzzle lovers in Myrtle Beach will have six new challenges to look forward to this year.

The Escape Game, an escape room center, is opening a new location at Broadway at the Beach visitors and locals will be able to enjoy. The new location is expected to open in the fall.

“We wanted to find a store where both locals and visitors loved visiting and hanging out and we think we found it at Broadway at the Beach,” Jonathan Murrell, co-founder and CMO of The Escape Game said in a news release.

The 4,450-square-foot facility will have six different escape rooms — The Depths, Gold Rush, The Heist, Prison Break, Special Ops: Mysterious Market and Timeliner: Train through Time.

Escape rooms are built with puzzles for each group to unlock within 60 minutes. Puzzles include finding codes, keys for doors, math puzzles and word games. Employees watch over the rooms to track progress and remind groups of the time limit.

Myrtle Beach has other escape room attractions that include the Myrtle Beach Room Escape located near Ripley’s Believe it or Not on 9th Avenue, and Escapology on North Kings Highway.
