Morgan Wallen drops out of the Carolina Country Music Festival lineup
Morgan Wallen will no longer appear as Carolina County Music Festival’s headliner this year.
In a video on the country singer’s Instagram account, Wallen said he re injured his vocal chords, resulting in vocal fold trauma. Doctors advised his to go on vocal rest for six weeks, until approximately June 20, which Wallen said will also help him recover from a torn lat muscle.
The singer said he’s in the process of rescheduling tour dates but will miss a number of festivals in 2023, including CCMF.
Wallen said, “I won’t be able to make these festivals that I have during this time frame, but we are going to make those right next year.”
CCMF released a statement on Tuesday, shown below.
Dear CCMF Fans,
We have been informed that due to medical reasons, Morgan Wallen will not be able to perform his next six weeks of appearances and that includes CCMF. We are disappointed, as we were excited to host Wallen at CCMF, again, just as much as everyone wanted to see him perform. We are working to reschedule Morgan at CCMF for our 2024 dates and we wish him a speedy recovery. Please be patient with us as we work quickly to update the line up.
Tickets are non-refundable. CCMF said it was working quickly to fill the headliner’s spot.
