A business boasting a hybrid watercraft is opening in Murrells Inlet

Adrenaline seekers hoping to take up a new hobby this summer may be interested in a new business opening in Murrells Inlet.

Seakart Adventure SC is opening a location at 4079 US-17 Business route on Monday. A seakart is a watercraft that resembles a jet ski but is as wide as a small speed boat.

“We are super excited to launch Seakart Adventure!” owner Lorrie Zimecki said in a news release. “Now friends and families can experience the thrill of a jet ski in a safe and fun way. We are thrilled to be part of the MarshWalk community.”

Each trip is one hour and up to three people can ride at a time. A trained instructor will escort passengers on a security boat during the one-hour trip.

Riders must be at least 6 years of age and able to swim.
