One person dies two days after moped crash near Surfside Beach, SC Highway Patrol reports
One person died after a moped crash occurred earlier this week near Surfside Beach, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on April 16 at 2:49 p.m.
The driver of a 2017 TAIO Thunder moped was traveling north on Sedgefield Drive, on private property, when the vehicle crashed, Lance Cpl. Lena Butler said Wednesday.
The driver was taken to the hospital, where the person died on Tuesday.
The Horry County Coroner’s office has not yet released the name of the victim.
