Great White shark tracked near Georgetown County SC over the weekend. Here’s the details
A Great White shark, Hali, was tracked off the coast near Pawleys Island this weekend.
The shark pinged at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, according to research group OCEARCH, which tracks sharks.
The group’s animal tracker showed the shark had been swimming in the Georgetown County area since about 10:22 p.m. Friday.
The female juvenile shark weights 697 pounds and measures 10 feet long.
She was tagged in Nova Scotia in 2021 and was named Hali after the people of Halifax.
