Child who drowned in North Myrtle Beach Tuesday identified by coroner’s office
The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified a 2-year-old child who drowned Tuesday in North Myrtle Beach.
Barron Mitchell Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio, died after being transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, the coroner’s office wrote Thursday in a statement.
The incident happened about 11 a.m. Tuesday along 54th Avenue North in North Myrtle Beach, according to the statement.
North Myrtle Beach Police are investigating. Additional details were not immediately available.
