One person dead, one injured after early morning fire in Conway, SC

One person has died and another was taken to the hospital with injuries after an early morning structural fire in Conway.

At about 5 a.m., Horry County Fire Rescue was called to a structure fire on the 1000 block of Lees Landing Circle in Conway, the department said in a release Sunday morning. The fire is now under control.

One person suffered fatal injuries and another was transported to the hospital with injuries.

The identity of the person who died has not been released by the Horry County Coroner’s Office.

It’s unclear what the cause of the fire was. The Horry County Fire Rescue department said it is investigating the fire.

The City of Conway Fire Department and the Horry County Police Department assisted at the scene.
