The longtime serving executive director of the Grand Strand Humane Society is resigning Wednesday, July 15.

Sandy Brown has been at the humane society since 2008.

“I will leave a large part of my heart when I leave Grand Strand Humane Society,” said Brown. “My husband has been recovering from a serious illness the last three plus years and is doing quite well; however, the success of his complete recovery will go much smoother with my undivided attention.”
