One dead after Saturday House fire in Horry County, officials say
One person has died after a residential fire in Conway, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
Sylvia Thompson, 72, died from smoke inhalation, said Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a call about 6:45 p.m. Saturday on Claridy Road. The fire was under control by 8:30 p.m.
The Conway Fire Department assisted on the call.
The fire will be investigated.
