The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation has awarded a grant to Coastal Adaptive Sports and Recreation.

The $6,540 grant will be used for the Adaptive Surf Project, Wheel to Surf.

The project helps those with disabilities surf on adaptive boards.

“This grant is so important, because we are provided with adaptive surfboards and flags that will assist with event organization. I am very grateful that the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation believes in us” said Luke Sharp, the grant writer.

The next Wheel to Surf event in Garden City on September 12.
