A 63-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a car while crossing a road outside Conway on Friday evening, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.

Roxanna Massre died at the scene of the crash on Highway 905, said Patty Bellamy, deputy coroner.

The wreck happened around 6:40 p.m. near Exodus Drive and Williamson Lake Circle.

The driver of the Chrysler sedan that hit Massre was not injured, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell.

Highway patrol is investigating.
