Conway woman killed in Socastee crash, South Carolina Highway Patrol troops say.

One person was killed early Thursday morning in a fatal crash in Socastee, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened at 3:30 a.m. in the area of US Hwy 17 and SC Hwy 707, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. A 2002 Toyota Camry was traveling south on US 17, went over the right side of the road, and over-corrected, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The operator died after being transported to an area hospital. No one else was involved in the crash.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 24 year old Morgan Goodall-Scott, from Conway. She died from trauma suffered in the wreck, the coroner’s office said.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
