Starting with the lighting of the Christmas Tree on Thursday, Dec., 1st downtown Conway’s Rivertown Christmas Celebration is about to kick off.

Downtown Conway’s annual Rivertown Christmas Celebration kicks off on Thurs. Dec. 1 in downtown Conway with the lighting of the City of Conway Christmas tree.
The Rivertown Christmas Celebration will be held every Thursday beginning Dec. 1 through Dec. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The shops of Downtown Conway are open until 8 p.m. each Thursday night to welcome holiday shoppers and offer a variety of gift-giving options for even the most difficult person on your list.
Get those lists ready because Santa will be attending every Thursday beginning Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. He will set up shop at 200 Laurel St., The Town Green through Thursday Dec. 22 before heading back to the North Pole. Also attending on Dec. 8, 15 and 22 Curtis the Conway Christmas Camel, presented by Conway National Bank will be there joining Santa at the Town Green.
Each Thursday, there will be different entertainment on Dec. 8 local singers and musicians entertain Downtown shoppers on 3rd Ave at the Town Clock.
Window shopping takes on a whole new meaning with “Living Window” displays on Dec. 8 as Downtown Conway merchants recruit friends, family and neighbors to create interactive shop windows with live actors.
The beloved Snowfall Park, compliments of the Conway National Bank, is Thursday, Dec. 15 at the City Hall Fountain Park.
On Dec. 15 Chicora Car Club invites classic cars to 3rd Avenue for a Christmas Cruise and on Dec. 22 Carolina Vocals and the Pickadilloes will be entertaining at City Hall.
The newest addition is The Great Conway Gingerbread House Challenge sponsored by the William and Sallie Goldfinch Family. Full contest rules and registration are available at conwayalive.com. The finished Gingerbread entries will be on display at Black Water Market at 1019 4th Avenue from Dec. 8 to 22 with prizes awarded on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m.
