Part of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade will be closed this week. Here’s where.
Pedestrians on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk can anticipate some promenade closures next week, according to the city.
The stretch between Pier 14 and the Emergency Beach Access located between 14th and 15th Avenue North will be closed so that city crews can “fix issues uncovered during the re-decking process,” the City of Myrtle Beach said in a news release.
Pedestrians will still have access to the beach and hotels. Work is anticipated to end Nov. 19, weather permitting.
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade opened in 2010 and extends along the oceanfront, from 16th Avenue North to 1st Avenue South. Renovations on the boardwalk, including re-decking, took place during the summer.
