Briggs Dickerson of Sands Realty said the half-acre 1495 Scala Court property has already been shown four times since being listed last month.

“I feel like that’s a pretty strong showing for a property like that,” he said.

The 5,278-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath home also comes with golf course and lakefront views, 13-foot ceilings in the master suite, a built-in outdoor kitchen near a heated infinity pool and hot tub and custom designed features throughout.

For a $480,000 down payment, owners would be on the hook for an $11,000 mortgage at a 30-year fixed 5% interest rate.

A hot real estate market could be simmering down

As America’s fastest growing city, Myrtle Beach’s housing stock remains in high demand. A September outlook from the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors said median sales prices are up by more than 11% year over year, to an average cost of $360,795 for single-family homes.

Dickerson said high-value properties like that on Scala Court sit on the market for about 200 days.

“I do see now that we’re in more of a normal, slower-type market,” he said.

The association offers a similar assessment, especially as monthly mortgage payments have more than doubled since last year.

“Inventory remains lower than normal, and as the market continues to shift, experts project homes will begin to spend more days on market and price growth will slow in the months ahead,” its September outlook says.

Grande Dunes is among the region’s most exclusive communities

The 2,200-acre planned community is home to more than 1,000 families stretching from the Atlantic Ocean on the west to Robert Grissom Parkway.

Its Robert Wulewich-designed Resort Course opened in 2001 and frequently is named among the country’s top 100 public golf courses. It reopened in September after a four-month renovation project.
