Pedestrian dies after being hit by truck near Conway, patrol says
A pedestrian died after a crash on U.S. 501 near Conway, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was traveling north on the highway and was hit by a pickup truck going in the same direction, Trooper Brandon Bolt said.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The wreck happened about 1:20 a.m. Sunday, one mile south of Conway, Bolt said.
The pedestrian’s name has not been released. The crash is under investigation.
