Myrtle Beach sets the scene for a romantic Christmas coming soon to streaming on Roku
An upcoming Christmas film on the Roku channel will feature Myrtle Beach as the setting of a holiday romance.
Directed by Stacie Davis, “Another Christmas” will be available starting on Dec. 11. Davis also wrote the screenplay for Peggy Williams’ “Christmas in the Carolinas.”
Production lasted seven days in the area during March 2021. The movie features the Market Common area, the Pelicans Stadium and the beach.
“The scenery, the attractions, and the southern charm Myrtle Beach has to offer is what made Stacie decide to choose Myrtle Beach,” Christine Davis, mother and executive assistant, said.
Ryan Toby, who played a role in “Sister Act II” with Whoopi Goldberg, will star in the movie alongside actors Sheena Faust and Malik Brazile.
“Toby leads the film as the cousin who visits out of town to celebrate the Christmas holiday with his family,” a press release states. “Kelly Brooks (Sheena Faust) is an elementary school teacher who gave up on love during the holiday season until her childhood friend Andrew (Malik Brazile) a professional baseball player, returns home to win Kelly’s heart for Christmas.”
The film is being distributed by Legacy Distribution.
Davis will have another original series, “Hanging with the Taylor’s” airing Nov. 5 on the Impact network.
