‘Something different, something new.’ Peach cobbler dessert bar coming to Carolina Forest

A new peach cobbler-based franchise is opening several locations in the Myrtle Beach area, including one in Carolina Forest, which will open in mid-November.

Peach Cobbler Factory, a franchise since 2013, is opening four locations in Horry County. The first will open in Carolina Forest on Nov, 12.

The location, which is next to the Lowes Foods off International Drive, will be open from noon to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, the hours are noon to 10 p.m..

“We just decided to jump in an opportunity that there was something new, something’s different,” Tracey Adams, one of the owners, said.

Adams will run the store alongside her husband, Rod Adams, who has experience in food distribution. The two decided to take the franchise opportunity in February.

The franchise specializes in peach cobbler but also includes other dessert staples like cinnamon rolls and banana pudding. Ice cream and iced coffee made in-house is on the menu as well.

Adams said her favorite was the peanut butter and jelly banana pudding. There are other unique combinations, such as sweet potato pecan cobbler and red velvet banana pudding as well.

The store is looking to hire 8-12 part-time and full-time employees.

Rod Adams, the other owner, said the couple plans to invest in the community by offering catering services to schools, nursing homes, and the fire department.

“We want to make sure that they know we’re here,” Adams said.

Other locations in Horry County that will open soon include Pawley’s Island, North Myrtle Beach and Conway, according to the franchise’s website.

A location in Indian Land, SC is already open.
