Update: Passenger killed in one-car crash Tuesday night identified

The identity and cause of death of a passenger who was killed in a fatal one-car crash Tuesday night on Highway 366 was recently released.

Susan Renee Hester, age 44, of Conway and North Carolina, died on the scene from injuries she suffered during the crash, Tony Hendrick, deputy coroner with Horry County, said.

The deadly crash occurred about 6:45 p.m. when Steven Krevinko, the 46-year-old driver of a 1993 Oldsmobile sports utility vehicle, was traveling west on Highway 366 near Loris and lost control of the SUV, which filled over several times, according to Cpl. Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Krevinko and Hester were both wearing seat beats at the time of the time crash, according to highway patrol authorities.

Krevinko was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with injuries.

The highway patrol is continuing to investigate the crash. No charges have been filled against Krevinko at this time, Collins said.
