One person was taken to the hospital after a pickup truck crashed into a restaurant in Myrtle Beach, police say.

First responders were at the scene of the crash on Friday morning. The crash happened at Tbonz Grill, on the corner of 21st Avenue North and Seaboard Street, according to the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

The truck’s driver drove through an empty retention pond and into a bathroom on the side of the restaurant, Myrtle Beach police spokesperson Thomas Vest said.

There were people in the building at the time, but no one inside was injured.

Vest said officers believe the driver’s medical condition caused him to crash into the building. The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The condition of the driver isn’t known at this time.
