Four people injured after boat explosion in North Myrtle Beach, officials say
Four people were hospitalized after a boat caught fire in North Myrtle Beach, fire officials said.
Fire crews responded to find the boat near the Johnny Causey boat ramp under the Highway 17 Intracoastal Waterway Bridge after 2 p.m. on Monday, according to a Facebook post from the North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue.
The fire was extinguished, and the passengers were treated on scene before being taken to the emergency room.
One of the passengers was a juvenile.
The city’s police department and the state’s Department of Natural Resources assisted on the call.
