Loris teen dies in Horry wreck after car overturned and caught fire, highway patrol says
A 19-year-old Loris man died in an early Saturday morning car accident after his car oveturned and caught fire, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Jonah Prince was identified as the victim by the Horry County Coroner’s Office. The crash happened about 2:30 a.m. on S.C. Highway 905 when his Cadillac SUV crossed the center line, went into a ditch and struck a culvert, according to Master Trooper Brian Lee.
Prince graduated from Loris High School last year and was enrolled in Horry-Georgetown Technical College’s HVAC program, according to his obituary. He was also an avid deer hunter and fisherman, the obituary notes.
The accident remains under investigation by S.C. Highway Patrol, Lee said.
