A swimmer was rescued over the weekend after having a medical issue while out on the water in North Myrtle Beach.

The North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad responded to the incident on Saturday, the nonprofit said in a Facebook post.

It is not clear medical problems warranted a rescue, but the swimmer was brought back to shore, according to the post.

The nonprofit, which provides free water rescue services to the North Myrtle Beach area, assisted several local departments on the call.
