A tornado warning has been issued for Horry County, SC. It has been in effect since about 8:30 a.m. this morning and is set to expire at 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Residents are encouraged to shelter in a basement or on the lowest floor. People are outdoors are being told to go to the nearest shelter and to watch out for flying debris.
