Selfie stations along the boardwalk

Two “selfie stations” were added along the boardwalk for families to take beach themed photos. Two more are coming in the following couple of weeks, according to Mark Kruea, City of Myrtle Beach’s spokesperson. Angie Hensen, a visitor, used one of the selfie stations during a family outing on Thursday. “It’s really cool,” Hensen said.

The wooden railings along the ocean side of the boardwalk were added as apart of the construction along the Myrtle Beach boardwalk and promenade area. Construction is expected to be complete by November. Decorative metal handrails are being added alongside Ocean Boulevard as well.
