1 dead after single vehicle crash Tuesday, highway officials say
One person has died following a single vehicle crash Tuesday in Horry County, according to highway officials.
The driver was transported to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries, South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Tyler Tidwell said.
The crash happened on Highway 707 near Bay Road, which is south of Myrtle Beach, Tidwell added.
The driver, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was traveling north on the highway at 2:40 p.m. when they ran off the road and into a ditch.
The Horry County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the individual at a later time.
