Small plane with 1 person aboard crashes at Horry County airport
A small airplane crashed at Grand Strand Regional Airport Saturday in North Myrtle Beach, city officials said.
Only the pilot was on board the aircraft, the Associated Press reported. The pilot’s injuries, if any, were not immediately available.
The small plane wrecked after 2 p.m., according to the city’s Facebook post. It is not clear what caused the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Agency are investigating the incident.
The city’s fire department and police department responded to the crash, along with Horry County Fire and Rescue.
