House fire claims the life of a Horry County man
A man was discovered dead in his home Monday after it was consumed by fire, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
Johnny Ellerbee, 62, died of smoke inhalation after his house on Highway 554 caught on fire, said Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.
The county’s fire and police departments are investigating.
