SC woman charged in fatal hit-and-run in Horry County
A South Carolina woman has been charged in a hit-and-run that killed a bicyclist on Thursday, highway officials said.
Brittany Lewis, 31, was arrested Monday and released the same day on $15,000 bond, according to online booking records.
The crash happened on U.S. 17 near Catherine Avenue and Myrtle Beach State Park at 10:30 p.m., said Trooper Nick Pye of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Officials said Lewis left the scene of the crash and headed south on U.S. 17.
The name of the bicyclist has not been released.
