Update: Details released in connection to death of 5-year-old girl in Georgetown County
The Georgetown County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of a 5-year-old girl whose body was found in the Black River Tuesday.
Collins “Lenny” Lusk, who was autistic, was last seen playing in a sandbox at her home at 277 Cherokee Drive after 7 p.m, according to a Tuesday press release from the Georgetown County’s Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement officials have said they don’t suspect any foul play.
An autopsy is scheduled for May 6 at the Medical University of South Carolina to determine the cause of death, according to a Wednesday Facebook post from the coroner’s office .
April Hall, 41, who is Lenny’s mom, reported her missing to authorities, according to an incident report.
No additional details have been released.
