Pedestrian killed in Loris-area crash on Fair Bluff Highway, highway patrol says

A pedestrian died after being hit by a car near Loris in Horry County Thursday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, a vehicle driving north on Fair Bluff Highway near Broadwell Road, around 11 miles outside Loris, hit a pedestrian standing in the street, according to Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell.

The same car also hit an unattended vehicle.

The driver and the passenger of the car weren’t injured in the crash.

The pedestrian’s identity had not yet to been released by the Horry County Coroner’s Office as of Friday afternoon.
