Missing woman found floating in Horry, SC Intracoastal Waterway, cause of death unknown
A North Carolina woman previously reported missing was found floating in the Intercoastal Waterway Monday in the Myrtle Beach area.
Kathy Holderfield, 68, of Pinehurst, had been reported missing by her husband Monday morning from their condominium in the Barefoot area, according to Deputy Horry County Coroner Tamara Willard.
It is not clear when she died, Williard said, but it happened between 9 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. on Monday.
Her cause of death is undetermined, and an autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
North Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating.
