A popular Myrtle Beach ice cream shop is closing one of its locations. What to know
A local ice cream shop serving the Myrtle Beach area is closing after learning their building will be demolished to allow for more parking spots.
Painter’s Homemade Ice cream will not be returning to its oceanfront location in Garden City, according the shop’s Friday Facebook post.
“We are just as heartbroken as you are, but we are currently discussing relocating,” the ice cream shop said in the post.
The shop is looking to relocate but is still discussing options.
In the meantime, the shop is sharing memories from the building on social media.
The original Painter’s shop is in North Myrtle Beach on Highway 17. That shop has a different owner, the post said.
