Hungry? Surfside Beach barbecue festival kicks off next week with food and music
The annual Town of Surfside Beach Barbecue Festival begins next week, bringing some of the area’s best barbecue together in one spot.
The festival kicks off 5 p.m. Friday, March 11 with the “anything but barbecue” event, featuring participating vendors’ top non-barbecue dishes. The first day’s festivities wrap up at 7 p.m.
The second day, including the barbecue competition, begins at 10 a.m. March 12 and runs until 4 p.m.
Saturday’s events include craft and produce vendors lined up along Surfside Drive.
Vendors will offer handmade jewelry and other crafts, as well as local honey, jams, and baked goods.
The Rich Johnson Band and Shawn Bilton will play live music for fest-goers.
Bilton, based in Pawleys Island, has performed at the Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach.
