In mid-April, downtown Conway will transform into a massive outdoor yard sale where dozens of local vendors will be able to sell their wares.

Dubbed the Laurel Street Yard Sale, event planners with Conway Downtown Alive expect 60 vendors to participate and 1,000 people to attend.

Conway City Council voted to approve a special permit for the event at Monday night’s meeting.

The yard sale will take place from 8 a.m. to noon April 23 on Laurel Street between 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue. Third Avenue from Main Street to Elm Street will also be closed.

All streets will close at 5:30 a.m. and reopen to traffic by 1:30 p.m.

Past years have seen vendors sell everything from knickknacks to toys to home goods to “awesome junk.”

Vendors must register in advance https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07ej1wlem6e790ba8a&oseq=&c=&ch= and will be charged $25. Trash cans and a comfort station will be provided at the event.
