Father and son killed after car ran off road in Georgetown County, coroner says
Georgetown County officials have identified a father and son killed in a car crash Thursday night.
Harry Bone Jr., and Harry Bone III died in the car wreck on Kent Road, according to Georgetown County Coroner Chase Ridgeway.
The wreck happened about 10:30 p.m. when the family’s 2006 Suzuki SUV ran off the road near Fulmore Drive, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Nick Pye.
The car was traveling west on Kent Road when hit a culvert and a tree, Pye said.
The driver and backseat passenger were fatally injured. A third person, a front seat passenger, was taken to the hospital with injuries, Pye said.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
