Myrtle Beach lottery player wins six-figure prize on Valentine’s Day

A winning lottery ticket was sold to a Myrtle Beach player, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Winning tickets were sold to one person in Myrtle Beach and one in Rock Hill, according to a press release from the S.C. Education Lottery.

The Myrtle Beach player won $100,000 at the Scotchman at 1173 Seaboard Street, while the Rock Hill player won $200,000 at the Rock Hill Food Mart.

The Palmetto Cash 5 tickets matched all five numbers drawn to win the $100,000 top prize, according to the press release.

The Rock Hill winner “powered up” for an additional $1, which doubled the top prize to $200,000 when a 2 was drawn.

The winning numbers from Monday’s drawing are 11, 19, 20, 27, 29 and power-up 2.

Winners have 180 days from Monday to claim their prizes.

Winners can visit sceducationlottery.com for information on claiming prizes.

More than 5,200 Palmetto Cash 5 players won prizes up to $200,000 in Monday’s drawing, the press release states.

The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are approximately 1 in 878,000, according to the press release. The odds of winning $100,000 are almost one in 502,000.

Three top prizes have been won in the last two drawings, the press release states.
