A 46-year-old Conway woman is dead after a vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree in North Carolina, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.

Amy Gibson died in the crash and two others were injured, according to state troopers

Troopers said the crash happened at 4:05 p.m. Monday in Lincoln County when a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling north on Old Plank Road near Marisopa Road. The vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree, killing Gibson, a passenger, and injuring driver Charles Hudson, 43. An unidentified 37-year-old woman who was in the vehicle was also injured.

Gibson was in the front seat, according to the NCDPS.
