Report: Body of missing boater found in Little Pee Dee River in Horry County

Divers recovered the body of a person who went missing in the Little Pee Dee River after a boat overturned, according to a report from WPDE-TV.

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources spokesperson Greg Lucas told the TV station that the person’s body had not been identified.

About 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a call about an overturned boat in the Little Pee Dee River in Conway, according to a tweet from the agency.

Horry County Fire Rescue dive teams were deployed 7099 Punch Bowl Road.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is the investigating agency, according to the tweet.
