An Horry County man who had been missing since January has been found dead in his vehicle, police said Tuesday.

The body of Parker Caldrain, 43, was located overnight, according to a Horry County Police Department’s Tuesday Facebook post.

Police responded to a call on Renee Drive in Myrtle Beach regarding a missing person, according to a police report sent to The Sun News. When officers arrived, Caldrain was found in the vehicle. It states that emergency medical services arrived on the scene and pronounced him dead.

The vehicle was parked at Kroger’s in Carolina Forest, Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said in a Tuesday email. No criminal activity is suspected, she added.

Police said Caldrain was reported missing on Jan. 23 after an attempted welfare check by officers. He was last heard from on Jan. 11.

The Criminal Investigation Department will look into the matter.

The coroner’s office will release information about the cause of death at a later time.

No additional details have been released.
