Loris man hit by car, killed while riding bicycle, Horry County coroner says
A man was hit and killed by a car while riding his bike Friday morning in Loris, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
The man was biking near Red Bluff Road and Silver Sand Drive when he was struck, according to an e-mail from Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy.
The 39-year-old man, who is from Loris, was taken to Loris Hospital where he dies from his injuries, Bellamy wrote.
The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin, according to Bellamy.
