This percentage of Myrtle Beach workers likely to lose jobs to tech in future, study finds

A recent study found that more than 50% of workers in the Myrtle Beach metropolitan area are at high risk of their jobs becoming computerized.

Myrtle Beach has the highest percentage of workers at high risk in the study’s mid-size metro group, which includes U.S. cities with 350,000 to 1 million people.

The analysis shows that about 20% of workers are are at medium risk, while nearly 30% are at low risk.

The pandemic has accelerated companies’ efforts to transition their business models to include more technology, according to the study.

Based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Oxford University, about 40% of workers are at high risk of their jobs becoming automated.
