One person was injured in an apartment building in Little River that was evacuated after a fire Thursday night, authorities said.

About 9:30 p.m., Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a fire involving multiple units of an apartment building on the 3000 block of North Horseshoe Road in Little River, according to a Facebook post form the agency.

One person was treated on-scene for injuries.

A second alarm was sent, HCFR said.

One unit sustained heavy fire damage, HCFR said. Eleven other units sustained smoke and water damage in addition to losing power.

The people displaced by the fire will be offered assistance from the American Red Cross of South Carolina, HCFR said.

The fire remains under investigation.
