North Myrtle Beach police investigate after pedestrian killed, coroner says

A 29-year-old man was hit by a car and killed in North Myrtle Beach Thursday morning, officials said.

About 6 a.m., Bradley Buffkins, of the Myrtle Beach area, was walking in the roadway along Highway 31 when he was hit by a car, according to Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler with the Horry County Coroner’s Office. He died at the scene from multiple trauma, Fowler said.

The crash happened at mile marker six within North Myrtle Beach city limits, Fowler said in a news release. The North Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating the incident.
