Conway man died in motorcycle crash in Horry County, officials say
A Conway man died in a motorcycle wreck on Friday in Horry County, officials said.
Joseph Lewis, 64, died on the scene of the two-vehicle crash, Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy said.
The crash happened on Highway 701 and Bucksport Road at 5:30 p.m., he said.
Lewis, who rode a Honda motorcycle, was driving north on the highway, and the driver of a Toyota sports utility vehicle was traveling south when they crashed, South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Nick Pye said.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured, he added.
The highway patrol is investigating the crash.
