A kayaker is missing after a fishing trip in Georgetown County, officials say
A kayaker is missing in Georgetown County after a fishing trip on Saturday, officials said Sunday.
The man was last heard from at 9:30 p.m. when he said he was going fishing in Murrells Inlet, according to a news release from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s office marine units are working with the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Coast Guard to find the missing man.
Officials said he was wearing a tie-dye shirt and was in a green and blue kayak.
