Horry County police officer among two injured in vehicle crash in Loris
An Horry County police officer was one of two people hurt in a vehicle crash in Loris on Friday, according to first responders.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Highway 548 and Carrie Lane at 4:04 p.m., according to a department tweet.
One of the vehicles involved was an Horry County police SUV, HCFR stated.
The officer and the person in the other vehicle involved were injured and taken to the hospital, according to HCFR.
Horry County Fire Rescue asks that people avoid the area.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
