One person dead after two-vehicle crash in Horry County, officials say
A two-vehicle crash in Horry County on Friday left one driver dead, officials said.
Trooper Brian Lee with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said a Chevy truck hit a Toyota sport utility vehicle after crossing the center line on Red Bluff Road near Highway 905 around 3 p.m. Friday.
The driver of the truck died from his injuries. That person was wearing a seat belt, Lee said. The Horry County coroner’s office will release the victim’s name at a later time.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital. It is not clear if the driver was wearing a seat belt.
The agency is investigating the crash.
